Resilience of Public Open Spaces to Earthquakes: A Case Study of Chongqing, China

Public open spaces (POSs) can be crucial during earthquakes, serving as essential places for recovery and mitigation. However, the ability of POSs to respond earthquakes varies based on their degree resilience. Resilience plays a significant role in ensuring effective responsiveness POSs, addition enhancing daily use normal times. By exploring examining earthquake resilience criteria that incorporated into planning design this study aims determine enhance provide an response earthquakes. Four main consisting twelve sub-criteria are investigated. The applied compared 169 three different areas Chongqing municipality China.
